I believe that the author has done a fine job of graphically portraying the many different sights and individual personalities during his travels in Jerusalem, Israel, Gaza (I can't recall if he was in Gaza as his wife was) and the "West…

I was lucky enough to live in Jerusalem for a few years and so much of my experience was perfectly captured in this graphic novel! Such a great read.

I have to say that I didn’t really know too much about the city of Jerusalem before I read this adult non-fiction graphic novel….and I certainly know more now! Very pleasurable read by Guy Delisle, and I highly recommend it. Fascinating…

I own this book, it's the only one of his books that I do own, and I think it's absolutely fascinating! He really gets to the heart of what's going on in Israel!

A full year in Jerusalem with 2 kids who can talk (and a busy wife) for this trip. Another good volume in his stranger-in-a-strange-land series. Recommended.

Jerusalem is French Canadian comic book artist Guy Delisle's best work. This graphic novel is wonderfully insightful, educational, and entertaining.

Another great living abroad comic by Delisle. It's brain candy that miraculously makes you smarter too. Eat it up!

Simple drawings that covey his surroundings effectively. The sarcasm that he uses to make fun of the country and himself never misses a beat. It's also great to learn about a country that may not make sense to most. Guy Deslisle can do no…

A very honest portrayal of a very complex place. I highly recommend this book. I've lived in Jerusalem for several years and found Delisle's view very accurate and insightful.

Highly recommended memoir of a year living in Jerusalem. Open-minded and informative without being preachy, and very well-drawn. Made me seek out other works by the same author.

This was recommended to me by Auckland librarian Sean M (big tip of the hat!). Guy comes across as a reasonable, thoughtful bloke. He documents the difficulties and oddities of life in Jerusalem on both sides of the wall. Stephen…

Incredible read. At times I had to put down the book and breathe deeply to control my anger. The absurdity of this apartheid regime and its people was a major "character" in this book. Guy has done all of us a favour by depicting his…

This is a great graphic novel. It explains the Isreali-Palestinian conflict in a simple, straight forward way so that any regular person can understand it without having any background knowledge. And as a bonus, it's really funny!
