I can't wait to get my hands on the fourth instalment. I just, absolutely, love this series. Cormoran and Robin are this time dealing with a psycho from Strikes' past, only problem is, they don't know which psycho it was. Classic jealous…

In this third entry to the Cormoran Strike series, Career of Evil, the mystery takes a turn inward, involving Cormoran and Robin, allowing Galbraith to use the mystery as a tool to further explore the relationship between our two…

JOANNE'S MYSTERY PICKS This third book in the Cormoran Strike series hits a very gruesome note. When a package is addressed and delivered to Robin at Strike’s office, it is revealed to be the severed leg of a young woman. Strike is…

I have now read the Cormoran Strike novels, numbers 1, 2, and 3, in order. Career of Evil. (number 3) is definitely my favorite because of the character back stories that emerge, the dialogue, and the chapter epigrams from Blue Öyster Cult…

This is Not a cozy mystery. The three plus suspects are some nasty dangerous individuals. Galbraith does a fine job of keeping you guessing. I thought I had figured it out but she fooled me. The development of Robin's character and her…

Best one yet! Galbraith takes a gory turn with a little more blood and guts and TONS more suspense. By now we know Cormoran and Robin well enough that it is like sitting down with old friends and the world Galbraith creates is fully…

This book was not a worthy followup to the first book of the series. One problem is that Rowling's ghoulish delight in getting into the mind of a stalker / mutilator is really disturbing. But my main criticism is that I was looking for a…

Great Book a real page turner, If you like a good mystery/thriller you will love this book I hope that J. K Rowling writes some more Striker series wish I had found them earlier A series so make sure you start with the earliest…

Despite the fact that this book is HUGE, I couldn't stop listening to it every day. This is now my favorite of the Cormoran Strike novels. The mystery is good- high stakes, little to no author projecting (and, of course, a few red…

Another example of J.K. Rowling’s failure to transition from juvenile fiction to adult books. Again, no real plot/narrative, only tedious dialogue. Even the likeable characters could not make me want to finish this book. There is a…

We Used To Have Such Good Times Together -- The Everly Brothers, "So Sad" I enjoyed the first two Strike books, but found myself wishing this one would end sooner. Book Two's chapters were headed with obscure quotations from obscure (at…

I like the Cormoran Strike books, written by J.K. Rowling under the name Robert Galbraith, very much. I really like the characters of Cormoran and his partner Robin. They are complex, interesting characters with a fascinating…

WARNING LOTS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE. I can usually take a few moments of this sprinkled into a book, but in this novel, it occurs many times to many people, of all ages, in disturbing ways. Please be aware of this if you prefer to avoid…

I confess I’m an unabashed fan of PI Cormoran Strike. With CAREER OF EVIL author Robert Galbraith (aka J. K. Rowling) has once again written a smart, intricate plot - this time involving a grisly serial killer who not only threatens the…

I can't get enough of the Cormoran Strike series. I still think The Cuckoo's Calling is the best of the three she's written but Career or Evil was really good and I liked it more than The Silkworm. Loved it and I can't wait for the next…

Such a great crime series. It is a little dark. However, I usually skim read but I read this word for word! Can't wait for the next one!!

Disappointed by the subtle but repeated reference to satanic sources and people. Disgusted at the language and blasphemies, used.

This is a wonderful mystery series, I can't say enough good things about it! Robert Galbraith (alias J.K. Rowling) does a wonderful job with the plot, character development and setting. Main characters Cormoron Strike, detective and ex…

I have read all three in the series and I am not crazy about how lurid the crimes are becoming. They are too dark and graphic for me but I am torn because I like the Strike and Robin characters and enjoy the storytelling.

Not as good as the first but better than the second. Very long and drawn out. I like the characters in the book.

It was a bit too long. I would not call it a page turner. It was kind of predictable once you were able to remember all the characters strange/uncommong names. It was entertaining and a little dissapointing at the same time.
