The Author has established a working formula for his stories. In this one, he had returned to two previous lines of exploration: Hunting Nazis and exposing crooked Swiss bankers. The Rembrandt painting serves as the linkage of these two…

I'm pretty sure I read this one years ago but didn't remember the plot, so it doesn't matter. Gabriel is recruited by his friend, London art dealer Julian Isherwood, to recover a stolen Rembrandt portrait that Julian is on the hook for. …
Daniel Silvia is a writer that takes me in a Journey full of suspense, intrigue, passion, Justice, and vengeance all at the same time. Very entertaining. I love his style.

This was my first Daniel Silva book and it won't be the last. It takes a good writer to be able to tell a story, stay on track and thread and not let language get in the way (think the eminently unreadable show off Harlan Coben). This was…

Daniel Silva brings back our favorite art restorer/spy, Gabriel Allon. Silva does a great job combining history and fiction in this exciting tale.

This is my 3rd Gabriel Allon book and it follows the same formula as the others. The base story continues from the Defector, something I like, and fills the gaps to the Portrait of the Spy. I still enjoy the characters and the details of…

Danile Silva's series featuring Gabriel Allon is about as close to a sure thing as it gets. Like others by authors such as Lee Child, Barry Eisler, John Sandford & Dennis Lehane, you feel a closeness & connection to these characters that…
