Francois Truffaut is one of France's best directors. "Shoot the Piano Player" captures the seemly ordinary life of Charley Kohler a bar pianist. He is played by Charles Aznavour, who in his own right is one of France's most famous singers. At the bar, one of the waitresses, Lena, falls in love with Charlie. Lean is played by the charming Marie Dubois, who captured my heart. The story is much to complicated to cover here and I wouldn't want to spoil a moment of the film for you. Truffaut has his own style of film making. He leaves the characters to themselves to discover their roles. They act innocently and without pretention. I certainly appreciate his approach to film making and hope you will enjoy "Shoot the Piano Player".
