Add a CommentThis is a heartwarming story about a 9-year-old Finnish boy who during World War II was sent by his mother to a strange couples in Sweden. The boy felt abandoned and he was forced to live in a strange country that he did not even know how to speak their language.
The film is in Finnish and Swedish with English subtitles.
Really sad movie.
I,ya in person want to be able to watch movies and listen to cds inside the library, without renting them(now it is possible using cd,dvd drives of computers in the library including catalog only computers)I hope very much such an option will be available to all patrons of the library(there is a need to be able to unlock cd,dvd boxes for using disks inside the library without renting them.)
It is a beautiful Finnish movie by Klaus Harö about a little boy sent to Sweden during the WWII. Heartwarming story of love between adopted parents during WWII and a little boy and his real mother.
An absolute favorite! A truly unique look at the life of a "home-child"/ child of war, who is forced to life in a strange country with a strange family. A bit of a heart breaker as well.
