Thank you to Sno-Isle Libraries for purchasing several copies of: "24 Redemption"! I just finished watching this two-hour film that bridges the time between the Season 6 & 7 of the "24" TV series featuring Jack Bauer of the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU).

The movie filled in some of the details surrounding the death of President Taylor's son that were never fully explained in Season 7. It also provides some background on the country of Sangala that figures prominently in Season 7. We also get to see the transition between President Daniels and President Taylor including an interesting scene (for these times) that shows the size of the inauguration crowd on the capitol mall.

The pace of the movie starts out a bit slow to set the scene but about a quarter way through things start heating up to the usual action, suspense and frustrating personality and timing glitches that keep us glued to the show.

I've watched all 8 seasons and the after series set: "Live another Day" that are all available through Sno-Isle Libraries. "24 Redemption" was an excellent purchase to round out the collection. Thank you again !!

Wow. Surprisingly boring. Feels like an extended episode of the series, except with none of the exciting plot twists and rapid pacing that make the series such must watch tv.

24 is one of my favorite TV shows, but even I have to admit that Redemption disappoints. For the most part, it's slow and boring. Sure, its purpose is to set everything in motion for the upcoming season, but the writing staff could have tried a little harder to make the TV-movie more exciting - especially after the catastrophe known as the sixth season. Overall, Redemption doesn't possess the same amount of complexity and intensity the series holds.
