I will defend this movie with my life. I'm kiiind of cheating because I went to the Seattle release and met the director, writer, and composer which was a blast. This is definitely campy. It's supposed to be. It's a low budget goth musical. What more could you need? It's not Broadway quality by any means, but if you don't end the movie with "Zydrate comes in a little glass vial..." stuck in your head, then you definitely watched it wrong. Industrial music lovers will be incredibly surprised to see Kevin Ogre from Skinny Puppy in a very... interesting role. I never thought I'd see Bill Moseley (who I also got to meet and it surprisingly the nicest dude ever) prancing around and singing about organ repossession, but hey, there's room for all in the world of B-movie musicals!

I'm always on the lookout for movies that are so bad that they're good. I hoped that REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA might fit the bill. Unfortunately, I can't put this movie into any category that would give you the impression that it was enjoyable. It's incomprehensible, poorly acted, and chock full of some of the least inspired music I've heard since Huey Lewis was considered noteworthy. One thing did surprise me...I didn't know that Paul Sorvino was a classically trained opera singer. Yes, Paulie from GOODFELLAS can sing. I didn't say he was good, but he can sing! There might be some drinking game hidden in this mess somewhere, but I'm not invested in spending time trying to find it.

Pretty awesome(: It made me tear up toward the end, and the songs are stuck in my head XD The characters stupendous!

This movie was terrible. “Dumb, boring and stupid” Waste of time - Waste of Electrical power.
It would be a waste of money to buy. "I fast forwarded all the way."

I watched this mainly because Anthony Steward Head was in it. It was...interesting. A mix of Rocky Horror Picture show, Sweeney Todd, and dystopian future. Some of the songs were excellent. It is true opera, very few lines are spoken, it is all sung. And its style is unique. Grotesque at times, certainly gory, but very operatic. It does remind one of real opera. I don't know what I think of it. It is too good to dismiss out of hand. It is too bad to warrant ownership. I am still thinking on it. Very good, and very bad mixed together. If you have a strong stomach, it's worth a viewing.

A film all its own. A horror musical which delves into an interesting dilemma (almost topical in a way). Sing-talks at times.

This movie is so unique in many, many ways, best musical i have ever seen. I swear Ive watched it more than 20 times in the past month and always catch myself singing the songs

Its a must see if you love musicals that have an eerie edge to them!
