Roger Greenberg: The thing about you kids is that you're all kind of insensitive. I'm glad I grew up when I did cos your parents were too perfect at parenting- all that baby Mozart and Dan Zanes songs; you're just so sincere and interested in things! There's a confidence in you guys that's horrifying. You're all ADD and carpal tunnel. You wouldn't know Agoraphobia if it bit you in the ass, and it makes you mean. You say things to someone like me who's older and smarter with this light air... I'm freaked out by you kids. I hope I die before I end up meeting one of you in a job interview.
Florence Marr: You like old things.
Roger Greenberg: A shrink said to me once that I have trouble living in the present, so I linger on the past because I felt like I never really lived it in the first place, you know?
Ivan Schrank: Youth is wasted on the young.
Roger Greenberg: I'd go further. I'd go: 'Life is wasted on people.'

not entertaining. a stupid little film about people who are in and need intense counseling.
I watched the entire film waiting for something interesting to happen. I was disappointed. I could not care about any of the main characters (not even the dog) and I found the pacing exceedingly slow. Normally Ben Stiller provides some kind of spice but, I guess, trying to be real is not his strong suit. I can't really recommend this to anyone.
This movie goes to show if your career is going nowhere and you have the money, why not write, pay for your own movie and star in it, that is what Jennifer Jason Leigh did. This is a terrible movie. The characters are unimaginative, terrible writing and all around boring.
Absolutely awful. Ben Stiller is totally wasted in this pathetic, badly written and acted film. Unless you are a masochist or don't care how many brain cells you kill, don't see this film.
This plays out like a slacker movie but with a 40 + year old instead of a 20 something. Stiller does his usual neurotic schtick and pretty much everyone else in the movie turns in good performances as his supporting cast. The movie is all Stiller, and not silly funny. Tackles serious themes with interjected humor.
I gave this movie an average rating. Sometimes I enjoy watching slow moving, true to life stories. It definitely kept my interest, though it was like eavesdropping on somebody's conversation and not getting any real insights. I would have given it a higher rating, but I have a very hard time forgiving a TERRIBLE ending. It felt as if they suddenly stopped filming.
Lots of drugs. Lots of sexuality. Lacks a story. Slow moving. Boring. Not good for children. Characters are shallow.
I saw only the start of the movie and I didnot like it this isnot for children to watch
Amusing, worth watching if you like observing people. No "Punch" but interesting. Hence 3/5 stars for me (above average).
It's sort of like these "european-real-life-movies" (boring to some), except with a bit more amusing / entertaining moments.
