Pompous prick portrays potential path. Okay I did like some of what he has to say about finding your own path and not having to conform to how society tells you how to live. I also give him credit for doing 4 years of charity work in Africa. He does seem to be rather full of himself though. It seems rather arrogant to include "change the world" in your title. The rest of the book he tells how to skate through getting college degrees without learning much, how he set up his blog, how he loves to travel and how to be an entrepreneur. Is he smart? Yes he is. Does he provide much in the way of useful information on how to not conform? Not a whole lot. The truth is really you have to have faith in yourself and find your own path. He also seems to be rather focused on himself. He doesn't seem to consider the impact of all his travel on the environment and kind of blows off consideration of that in the FAQ at the end.
I expected something totally different from the title and subtitle. This turned out to be yet another schlocky self-help book by some sort of marketing guru.
A fun read. It makes me want to create more out of my life than sitting in an office pushing papers.
Inspiring and well written! Chris's enthusiasm and passion for life and everything he does is amazingly contagious!
For more information on the resources mentioned in this book and to read his Manifesto on World Domination, I'd suggest checking out his website.
