Silly monster movie and nothing much to do with Ragnarok. I only reserved it because Sofia Helin from "The Bridge" series is in it.

It's a good summer action flick if you're looking for a taste of fear without the mess.
It's more about running from the antagonist than learning about Norse mythology.

But as much as it has an element of fear to it, it's not actually bloody!

There's imagery of human skeletons, guns being pointed at people, and implied brutality, but you don't see anybody die or get badly hurt.

I've sat through worse movies. Sort of fun.

Norwegian archeologists meet Viking Loch Ness dragon.

Predictable script is enhanced by well-crafted (made-in-Romania) delivery,.. but nothing much feels original, and the CGI is uneven.

Children may be frightened by the not-cuddly monster.

(For the made-in-China version of a hunt for a hungry CGI lizard, see "Legendary",.. but try not to think of the Geiko Geko !)
