Good book, a bit wordy for toddlers but excited to try it with the boys in a year or so

This is a terrific book for children who need quiet time and parents or teachers that don't know exactly how to get started. The ready-to-use meditations included work well for getting focused, handling strong emotions, or making tough decisions. Truthfully, these meditations are perfect for grown-ups, too!

This book, geared towards 4-7 year old children, does an awesome job of teaching meditation concepts and gives suggestions for 9 meditations. It also does a very good job of explaining to a child when it's good to meditate, such as when you are having a really bad day. The one thing the book doesn't do is to define for a child what meditation is. As defining something is a must prior to advising a child to do it, I only gave this book 4 stars. If the author had included that first, basic step in the book, I would have gladly given it a 5+ star rating.
