The TV Show "The Flash", directed by: Andrew Kreisberg, Geoff Johns, networked by The CW Television Network, is an American superhero/action TV show. Barry Allen (Portrayed by Grant Gustin) is a Forensic Scientist who works at Central City Police Department with Joe West, the man who took him in when his mother was murdered and his father was wrongfully imprisoned for her murder. Barry always believed that something like a yellow streak, or blur killed his mother, but there were no facts or past evidence to corroborate this story until nine months after the particle accelerator exploded and he became the impossible;e. Barry was struck with lightning that night and was in a coma for nine moths, only to wake up with super speed and becomes "The Flash". Barry starts to realize that when he runs, it looks like the streak that killed his mother and tries to figure out the connection between the two. I would give this show a 5/5 as it wonderfully all comes together, with action, humor and light romance in its first season, as Barry is in love with Iris West, Joe West's daughter. @flarrow_s of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Season one of The Flash is one of the best seasons out of the entire show! Season one introduces the characters and the storyline of the shows. One of the best things about this show is the suspense. In season one the suspense is about who killed Barry Allen’s mother. During this whole season you get to know more of all the characters including Barry, Iris, Cisco, Caitlin and many more! Each character has an interesting story, and you will slowly get more invested in them. Season one of The Flash not only introduces you to the characters, has it also introduced you to the romance. You will also learn more about Barry and Iris’s relationship, which is very important to the show. Rating 5/5

The first season of The Flash goes over how Barry Allen, an investigator for the police, ultimately becomes the Flash. After Barry Allen is struck by lightning, he goes into a coma for nine months and he eventually discovers his powers of superspeed. In this season, Barry Allen tries to find the man who killed his mother and only knows him as "the man in yellow." Like Barry, this man is also a speedster and Barry Allen wants to stop him once and for all. Personally, the first season of The Flash was amazing to watch and it became one of my favourite shows. The progression of Barry Allen's control over his speed became incredibly fun to watch and on top of that, there is humour that comes from Cisco Ramon. Moreover, Grant Gustin does a fantastic job of playing Barry Allen and his acting made The Flash much more entertaining to watch. In conclusion, if you are looking for a superhero show with lots of action and an amazing story, I would highly recommend watching The Flash.

I made it through the first disc, but then gave up as this series is not well written. The plot lines are very formulaic, the characters are very two-dimensional, and overall the series (or what I watched of it) was quite sexist. Mind you this is quite typical of most of the movies / shows that come out of Hollywood as they are trying to appeal to teens. The 1990/91 series was slightly better and at least followed the plot of the original comic book, this one however seems to be more of a "villain of the week" theme.

The actors and actresses make it work and after awhile if you are a comic fan you ignore the cosmetic changes as this cast makes its own story. The Flash is arguably closest to its source material moreso than any of DC's other series or movies for that matter. At least it gets its vibe right: a sci - fi superhero mashup relevant for its time as it aims at engaging a younger demographic, not so much to the point that the older fans among us can't appreciate the end product.

I am a Ronnie-Firestorm fan, so obviously do not like how they treat the character. Iris West is horrible. And they destroy Linda Park for nothing. On the other hand, Martin Stein is a big improvement over the comics version. Do not like the "idea" of the story line but the plot is so very well executed.

Liked the show. Nice see guest appearances of original Flash show from 1990's. Great casting of actors. The Barry Allen character story line is great.

Despite the added cast and some changes in the race of different characters as well as a change in back story "The Flash" might be the most faithful to the spirit of its source material of all of the super hero shows on TV to date.
