Add a Comment"Louie" is one of my favorite shows, but this season is the most uneven. It does pick up about half way through, but, as with Larry David (although I find Louie much funnier and more down to earth), the catalog of humiliations and anxieties can be exhausting. He poops himself in public, gets beat up by a woman, and is dumped while wearing make-up. The episode where he hosts a slumber party and has to take them all to jail to bail out his brother is a highlight. The episode with a pathetic, self-pitying cop is a lowlight. Matthew Broderick, Charles Grodin, Michael Cera, and Michael Rappaport guest star.
I really love Louis CK's unique blend of real-life painfully awkward yet hilarious situations... My favorite episode of this season was "Untitled" in which Louis can't escape from reoccurring nightmares.
