This book provides succinct 1 1/2 to 2 paged overviews of well known crimes that have been committed around the world from 1914 to the current day. The overviews gave me just enough information to understand the course, and usually the importance, of each covered crime.

I took off one star because not every overview explains why the author considers a particular crime to have changed the world.
