The author posses a good knowledge of San Francisco.
In the book there are some flaws, it seems to me from the inattention of the author or the editor. For example, you read an episode where there is a dialogue, and then through some pages, again there is a dialogue about the same topic, serving as something new.
But in general it was interesting read. Although there are sugary moments, for example, how it ends - everything is good, everyone calmed down and began to drink beer and look at the sky...

Story about a detective and psychiatrist - who uses controversial methods on her patients - who work together to try to solve a case of unexplained "madness" and resulting death of two men with another gone missing. Good book but thought the psychiatrist's methods were odd and implausible. Not enough of psychological thriller for me but passable.
