4th book in the series, -- Aunt Dimity's "messages" offer guidance, and kind regard, to the unexpected presence of an archaelogist's digging work, quite near to the village;
Lori and Bill Shepherd face the issues of new parenthood, and, all the while, Lori struggles to help the village Vicar, due to the experience-mystery of theft of a valued book. The story-novel-plot teaches lessons about kindness, stamina, intellect, and communication; the story teaches the special value of making a personal contribution to village "well being." We're all in together, aren't we.
The story of the theft is the mystery; the setting of the archaeological dig is a mystery; living among the residents of Finch village is mystery.
