It tells the unlikely love story of Maddy, a smart, curious and imaginative eighteen-year-old who due to an illness cannot leave the protection of the hermetically sealed environment within her house, and Olly, the boy next door who won't let that stop them. Just a simple romance movie, nothing special. Comparing to to others, even The fault in our star is better than this. Not really worth it
This is pretty typical YA Fiction fan fare. Not bad if you're willing to suspend a lot of reality and plug into the story it wants to tell. Pretty tough to make it through if you are detail oriented...
DNF - I walked away 30mins in. My 16 yo said it was horrible and cringe worthy. Aww.
It is hard to judge the age of the intended audience. Seems appropriate for a pretty innocent, young teen; however, there is a scene in bed that might be more than parents want very young teens to see. Extremely romantic and very short on reality, so most girls will love it. I can't imagine a male enjoying it at all.
I thought it was a great movie. I love how they both fought for their love. It was beautiful.
Predictable but overall a decent movie for teens based on the book of the same name.
Good teen first love movie with a surprise twist.
