"The thyroid is the new hot topic in health. Across age groups, from Baby Boomers (and their parents) to millennials, more and more people--women especially--are hearing that their thyroids are to blame for their fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, memory issues, aches and pains, insomnia, hair loss, hot flashes, sensitivity to cold, and more. Everyone wants to know how to free themselves from the thyroid trap. As the thyroid has gotten more and more attention, though, these symptoms haven't gone away--people aren't healing. Labeling someone with "Hashimoto's," "hypothyroidism," or the like doesn't explain the myriad health issues that person may experience. That's because there's a pivotal truth that goes unnoticed: A thyroid problem is not the ultimate reason for a person's illness. A problematic thyroid is yet one more symptom of something much larger than this one small gland in the neck. It's something much more pervasive in the body, something invasive, that's responsible for the laundry list of symptoms attributed to thyroid disease. In Medical Medium Thyroid Healing, Anthony William, the Medical Medium, reveals an entirely new take on the epidemic of thyroid illness. Empowering readers to become their own thyroid experts, he explains in detail what the source problem really is, including what's going on with inflammation and autoimmune disease, then offers a life-changing toolkit to rescue the thyroid and bring readers back to health and vitality. It's an approach unlike any other, and as his millions of fans and followers will tell you, it's the approach that gets results. Includes photos and recipes"-- Provided by publisher.

This is not scientific and total waste of time

The Epstein- Barr Virus (aka herpes) is not the cause of most human diseases and celery juice is not a cure all. I'm interested in natural methods of healing myself but this book/author is beyond ridiculous. As someone with a condition labeled incurable by the medical establishment I understand why people get frustrated that medicine/science has no answers and why they will often go to extreme measures outside of the established "norm" to find relief. But any un-credentialed "expert" who does phone consultations for hundreds of dollars for an hour or less of his time is someone who's using the desperation of very sick people and the power of the placebo effect to line his own pockets. It's shameful.

While I question some of what he's written and spoken about regarding health and solutions to medical conditions, I'm very appreciative of the info in the books by Anthony William. Much of what he writes about regarding the root causes (at the physical level) for certain health disorders is not known by medical science at this time.

If you have a thyroid condition, try the dietary and detox recommendations for at least 14 days and see for yourself if it helps you. It's a gentle approach but the results will be evident if it's going to help you, or there will be no results and no harm if not.

To Paula1721, William isn't against or bullying those particular food group or industries. It's because eliminating dairy, eggs, gluten-containing foods, corn, GMO foods, soy (GMO), canola (GMO), and MSG significantly reduces the many symptoms as described in the books. I would say that besides detoxification of toxic metals and chemicals, eliminating or strongly reducing consumption of these particular foods is essential to getting well.

In my experience, the advice giving in the Medical Medium books have been among the greatest help to me after over two decades of dealing with progressively debilitating symptoms relating to hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, and a neurological disorder.

"Goop's trusted expert, Anthony William, dispenses junk science say critics. How has the Florida-based huckster got away with it for so long?" An article by Rae Paoletto in Inverse - mentioned in previous comment.
Any benefits from William's recommendations for diet, etc. would be due to the placebo effect. Why is he bullying eggs, dairy, pork and canola oil to name a few?

This book is complete bunk. The author basically claims that all thyroid disease, whether hypo- or hyper- is due to Epstein Barr virus, which defies logic and common sense. Do not waste your time reading it. Elaine Moore has much better, informational books on thyroid disease.

I am always seeking answers to why my son's autoimmune disease is so resistant to treatment and saw a quote from the author that turned my thinking around. I thought this book would be worth reading, but he is really, really out there woo-woo wise.

I was embarrassed when my son showed me this article about the author.

Read this before you decide to invest the time in waiting for this book to be available to borrow.
