I loved this book from start to finish. I actually liked book two better than the first book. Lots of surprises and I hope there will be a third book to tie up some loose ends.

I read this book to fulfil the goal read a book you borrowed. i love our library. this is the second in a series about the same characters. i enjoyed them both very much. my only disappointment is not 100 persent of the loose ends were tied up. would love to see another in the series (enough were resolved though to make it very worth reading)

I found this book a little slow-paced, but the world in which this book is set in is incredibly well-thought out and explained. The ending was.....very bittersweet....

A good story, with a somewhat disappointing ending.

I enjoyed the expansion of the world - seeing different countries, meeting new half-dragon characters, both sympathetic and surly. Jannoula, especially, is such a great character - sinister, intelligent and frightening, yet still vulnerable and sympathetic. Despite some pacing problems the tension created by Jannoula's outmanoeuvring our protagonist at every turn is quite effective.

This was great at the beginning but the ending was more then disppointing...

This was a wonderful book. Absolutely stunning! Every question that was created in the first book and some questions in the second book were answered completely.

If there is another book, I'm at the edge of my seat waiting!

This long-awaited sequel to "Seraphina" delivers. I was completely caught up in the intrigue. I can't wait for the next one.

It extends the world of Seraphina into multiple countries and introduces many (maybe too many) new characters. But Seraphina's internal world turns out to be just as important, and I found this to be a satisfying tale.

I really liked the first book in the series but I think the gap in between them was too long and I lost interest. I found while I was reading this book that I couldn't remember everything that happened in the first one. It seemed like she threw in a lot of new things in order to move the story along. There were characters Seraphina met and who seemed to be important, and then later never saw again. Also, I thought Seraphina was too passive in this book (particularly towards Jannoula). She basically just watches what everyone else does and then doesn't do anything herself till the very end. That being said, I still did like reading it and had a hard time putting it down.
