This is Fargo the movie. Don't know what the special edition is, but here's the plot. A small town car salesman has secretly been selling his father-in-law's new cars and is heavily in debt. On the verge of being discovered, he comes up with a great solution: hire men to kidnap his wife. When his father-in-law pays the ransom, he'll give the kidnappers their share and replace the cars. But things never go as planned, especially when the guys you hire are bumbling idiots and so are you. The heroine is a small town sheriff of Brainard, Minnesota named Marge Gunderson. She's pregnant and smart and she gets the bad guys. There are moments in this film when you just can't imagine anyone being so stupid. Which is the point of the film. If you like this one, you might like Burn After Reading, another Coen Brothers' film about two idiots who try selling a CIA analyst's personal memoirs to the Russians for money.
