An excellent presentation all around! The photography caught the bright European sunlight--which coincidentally is what the impressionists were all about. Casting was incredibly done with actors resembling their real life subjects, and of course the actors played their roles very well. I couldn't have imagined them doing things any differently except their speech... it was odd listening to the French artists with perfect English accents!! Costuming is true to the period, although I thought for starving artists a few of their jackets and shirts could be a bit less perfect. This movie brings to life the struggles and heartbreaks they suffered as well as the rivalries, passion and comraderie that existed among them.
