Politically correct record of 2012. Considering The Dresden Dolls' albums and Who Killed Amanda Palmer? were all pretty good (if not amazing) CDs, and Amanda Palmer's songwriting, at the very least, used to verge on cathartic genius, I find this album terribly disappointing. I regret buying it; I should've just waited to get it from the library. Anyway, I still give it 3 stars, although I find a lot of the production, songwriting, etc. to be kind of mediocre for my taste. http://www.robertchristgau.com/xg/bl/dresden-08.php / Robert Christgau: "Sure, Amanda Palmer thinks she's superior to you, but that's nothing against you. It's just that she's superior to everyone, and a fat lot of good it does her."
