It's a rare film that's smarter than its audience, but this one is. Luke Vaughn has run out of options. His daughter needs surgery and he owes the hospital so much money they refuse to perform it. This is the film's one flaw as I don't think a hospital can refuse a medical necessity based on failure to pay. Vaughn decides to rob the casino which he's just been fired from and he knows the right people to pull it off. When things appear to go wrong, it's actually part of his plan which I found brilliant. Reviewers compare this to Ocean's Eleven, but this is actually better in my opinion.
