These books are trying too hard to be the next Harry Potter. If you read even the first book you've pretty much spoiled the entire Harry Potter series for yourself if you haven't finished reading it yet (though I don't think this is possible since the internet has probably already spoiled it for you). I'm not saying they're bad...I'm totally saying they're bad. They're really short though, so it's not like you're wasting time reading them. That's probably why they're bad; if the books were allowed to be longer than clues and characters could be developed more. They literally used the same twist ending in this book as they did in the first one, I'd call that underdevelopment. And I kept forgetting the main character's name. I thought his name was Cal for the entire book, which is at least closer than Camron, which is what I called him during "The Copper Gauntlet". Tally Youngblood's name worked because, even though it was a word, it wasn't a word used often in conversation. Call is a word that's used all the time. Every time I read Call's name I thought that one character was calling another.
