A sweet and eloquent picture book, inspired by the first part of the terrific Disney/Pixar film *Coco*. De la Peña is the Newbery-winning author of *Last Stop on Market Street* and Ramírez is a Pixar animator. "La Música", the spirit of music and harmony, moves through the town, inspiring the singers and musicians, when she sees a boy who is impoverished by his lack of music. His family refuses to participate in or even to listen to music. La Música secretly inspires Miguel to repair a broken guitar and find a hideout to practice. The boy becomes part of "a Grand Harmony". If you liked *Coco* or just think music is important, this would be a nice one to read with your young ones. It might also make a good intro for children who haven't seen *Coco* yet. Because of the author, this is miles ahead of the usual movie-connected picture book.
